What are antioxidants?
Antioxidants are chemicals that can prevent or slow cell damage. They are natural compounds found in some foods that help neutralise free radicals in our bodies. Free radicals naturally occur in our body and they attack our DNA, if they go unchallenged they can cause a wide range of illnesses.
Antioxidants prevent and help the body fight things like heart diseases, eye problems, mood and muscular disorders and immune system problems.
Best source of antioxidants are raw vegetables and fruits.
